I look forward to Sundays! First, I love going to Church. It refreshes my spirit. Today I taught a lesson in Relief Society on Unity. I put the class into four groups and gave them assignments to look up scriptures. It was fun. There was alot of love in the room! Then I came home, grabbed some lunch, grabbed some cats, and promptly took a catnap with the kitty girls. Here they are!

It's true. I'm a year older. I celebrated by going to Mark, the fabulous hair stylist at Aveda Jade, and got my hair lightened! Blondes have more fun, and being MORE blonde makes me happy! I went out to lunch with friend Vicki and dinner with friend Carol, and I spent the rest of the day reading about internet marketing and working on this blog! Tonight I'll settle down on the sofa with a cat or two and watch "So you think you can dance" and see if any magical fairies come out to play.

It's the end of the week, and the beginning I hope of my first mystery book's journey into the world. Books came this week, but there was a problem. The publisher is reprinting. The first book signing is set for June 5th downtown Greensboro at the Yew Tree Gallery. Artist Richard Phillips who painted the cover art will be there with the painting of the White House!

Back in April, I took a trip to Newport Beach, California. Here are some pictures. We were in walking distance of Balboa Island. Lovely. There were many great little cottages. This one had roses!

I was amazed at the flowers growing freely on the island. I thought I was in heaven!
It's been a long day. I worked in the Speech and Hearing Clinic this afternoon, and tonight I took some time to work on some new necklaces and to edit two chapters in book 2. A business here in Greensboro, Lillo Bella, will be hosting a special event in June, featuring my jewelry. She requested some pendants of "saints" for she is catholic and there is a catholic school nearby that does alot of traffic through her store. Sunday I spent half my day explorings stain glass windows of saints, particularly those of Burne-Jones. I hope to have a stack of books ready to sell when I have this jewelry day, adorned with saint pendants. Here is a lovely window of St. Mary from a church in England.
Last weekend I went up to Virginia and attended the Art and Soul Conference. This conference is for jewelry and mixed media artists. I learned lots. My favorite was taking the Totally Tiarra class with Sally Jean Alexander!
In this class I learned how to solder!!! It was a two day class, and I made the Rose Queen Crown!
There were other amazing tiarras made. One had wings!

Wonderful news! Keeping House, a Madame President Mystery is off to the printer. I heard from my publisher this week. Now the real wait begins! It's looking like a summer release! More on that later.
